Famous all over the world for its unique caldera, the romantic sunset and the picturesque villages, Santorini is the most beautiful island of Greece. Fira is the capital of Santorini and the centre of all activities. Every spot of Fira offers excellent view to the submerged volcano and the Aegean Sea. From there, buses leave to all spots of the island. Tour boats also depart from the small port and go to the volcano, the thermal springs and the island of Thirassia.
The most famous spot of Santorini is Oia, a picturesque village on the northern part of the island perched on top of a cliff. On the southern side of Santorini, there are some lovely beaches, including Kamari, Perissa, Perivolos and Vlychada. However, the most famous beach of Santorini is the Red Beach, with black and red volcanic pebbles on the shore. Thanks to its romantic atmosphere, Santorini is also a regular wedding and honeymoon destination.
